Can't do it anymore?

Is the toll of being an emotional sponge taking over? Here's what you can do to prevent the contagious mood infection.

*1*    Take a deep breath
Try a series if inhale-and exhale cycles to replenish your brain and body with fresh oxygen supply. This will clear negative energy ang help you think with a level head - the perfect remedy for reducing stress at any time of day!

*2*    Exercise a balance state of compassion
Just because you are empathetic doesn't mean you have to feel the same pain that the other person is going through.Do what you can - listen and understand - but don't do what you can't,i.e. solve the problem.

*3*    Set boundaries
It is one thing to be there for your friend but another to stay up the whole night listening to her cry and whine.Set healthy boundaries on how far you will go. It is not necessarily being selfish; it simply protects your own mental heath and respects your feelings.

*4*    Think logically
Learn to listen logically, instead of emotionally. This will help you make comments based on practical grounds, not emotional ones. That way, you can help balance out your feelings before being completely overwhelmed.

*5*     Keep your spirits up!
According to clinical psychologist John M.Ruize, people who are content in their relationships are much less vulnerable to a spouse's neuroticism. So be grateful for what you have and knows, your optimism may just rub off on to your partner's, an actual health benefit.
